We removed the lawn in 2016 and installed Colac Rock to create some levels and define the nature strip from the garden.
The nature strip has been surfaced with crushed sandstone pathways and garden beds have been installed either end of the property frontage to prevent cars parking on the nature strip but allow pedestrian access in the middle.
The garden was planted out with local native plants.
A dry creek bed serves as a path to the Gas meter and the lower end has a pond with pond liner so that it holds water for the birds to use.
The last 3 photos show the garden after 5 years of plant growth, it now provides street appeal, privacy, protection and food for local wildlife.
